The Soviet Artifacts Evaluation Commission was a Soviet organization. In 1947, they hired Indiana Jones to evaluate artifacts at a monastery in the Soviet occupation zone of Berlin. However, believing that by the time he'd logged his finds, the pieces would be on their way to Moscow, Jones decided to perform his search at midnight and was subsequently arrested by security liaison Major Nadia Kirov who had cleared his record for the commission.
