Typhoon Noul (known in the Philippines as Typhoon Falcon) was a super typhoon particularly notable for the fact that it was unusually powerful for the time of year in which it formed. The cyclone swept across the Philippines during the 6ht and 7th, making landfall with winds of 185 mph, and a minimum pressure of 895 mbar.
