The Republic of Sonora (also known as Sonora) is a federal republic located in North America. It was recognized as an independent nation from Mexico on April 14, 2035 after declaring independence on September 10, 2032 following a war. When the nation was recognized as independent, Sonora's first ally was the United States. A few years later, Sonora joined NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement).
