Gorali were a wild, golden bighorn sheep found exclusively in the Downs of Eriador. They had long, curving, whitish horns. Solitary and intractable, they were unique among sheep. Goral only gathered during mating season, when small groups of males joined and then seeked out the females. Ranked by the size of their horns, the males instinctively knew their place, so there was little fighting during these brief unions. After mating, the females traveled as a herd with the young for a couple of months and then scattered.
