Seaver of Tasride (pronounced SEE-vuhr of TAZ-righd) is one of Keladry of Mindelan's yearmates. He is described as having black hair and eyes and a dark skintone which suggests some Bazhir ancestry. His page-sponsor was Prince Roald of Tortall. Seaver is also the great-nephew of Marinie of Trebond, née Marinie of Tasride, mother of Alanna the Lioness. This means that his father, killed by a spidren, was Alanna's cousin. Given Alanna's colouring, this makes it more likely that his potential Bazhir ancestry comes from Seaver's mother's family, not his father's.
