A logboat is a type of unique to the Redwall series, used by the various shrew tribes in Mossflower Country. Logboats are characterized by their lightweight, sleek profile; they are open on top and propelled by six or more paddlers seated on oar slats. They share many close similarities with the real-world dugout canoe, although they are typically somewhat larger and occasionally outfitted with a small collapsible mast and sail. Logboats are used to meet good purpose, being used by the Guosim, Guoraf, and Guosssom- and for evil, when they are commandeered by the Marlfoxes and their in Marlfox.
