The tale of Flyin' Jim Phoenix is told by an old man in Carbo village who claims to be the very same man. His tale is called ridiculous by Ryudo who claims no one can survive a fall from the Granacliffs. The same gentleman also claims to have faced off against a Beast-man in three trials of strength: he span a huge log, picked up three boulders and blew away a waterfall with the air from his nostril.
