Granspike Niblo was as a plump, old hedgehog who held the rank of Abbey Beekeeper. She found Orkwil Prink as an infant after his parents, who were thieves, abandoned him. As a result, Niblo grew to have a soft spot for Orkwil, and secretly gave him candied chestnuts after his exile from Redwall Abbey. Niblo belonged to the Redwall Council of Elders along with Abbot Daucus, Skipper Rorc, Foremole Burff, Marja Dubbidge, Fenn Bluepaw, and Benjo Tipps.
