Fadak () was a tract of land in Khaybar, an oasis in northern Arabia; it is now part of Saudi Arabia. When the Muslims defeated the forces of Khaybar at the Battle of Khaybar; this land was one of the items seized as booty and given to the Islamic prophet, Muhammad. Upon his death, Fadak became the cause of a dispute between Muhammad's daughter, Fatima, and the first caliph of the time, Abu Bakr.
