The Monarchist Union was first formed 10 years after the death of the Hero of Brightwall and the transformation of Albion into the Albion Republic. It wanted to restore the Constitutional Parliamentary Monarchy. At first, the Monarchist Union had over one-third of the seats in the Parliament of Albion and also a substantial minority within the Senate of Albion. However, within a year of it's formation the League of Republicans was organized. As the decades progressed, the Monarchist Union in succeeding Parliamentary elections lost more seats to the League of Republicans.
