The Dark Wars was a growing conflict which led to the enemies of the east, have returned under the will of Sauron and were preparing for war against the free peoples of Middle-earth. The Dark Wars lasted for nearly sixty years until the White Council attacked Dol Guldur, and drove out Sauron.
