The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is an extremely valuable, jewel-incrusted book of Persian quotes and poetry. It was written by a Persian Poet named Omar Khayyam, who lived in the 11th Century. A jeweled copy of the Rubaiyat was in the Cargo Hold on board the Titanic. The valuable book was being delivered to an American who had purchased it at auction. However, the Titanic went down with it onboard and was never recovered.
