Battle Squadron 196 was tactical unit of the Solarian League Navy's Battle Fleet. In 1922 PD, it was part of Task Force 496. Its commanding officer was Admiral Dunichi Lazlo, who flew his flag aboard the Scientist-class superdreadnought SLNS Andreas Vesalius. The vessel was destroyed in the Battle of Spindle, killing Lazlo. (HH12)
