Kai Bowe (played by Judith Scott) was a marine biologist at Boston University who assisted Dana Scully while investigating a bizarre biological entity in the Boston subway system. (TXF: "Medusa") Executive Producer Frank Spotnitz actually named this character after writer/producer Kai Bowe, a Writers Guild of America trainee who was working on The X-Files when Spotnitz wrote the script for the episode "Medusa."
