The Beta Magellan system (also known as the Bynar system) was an inhabited planetary system. This was a multiple star system with at least two stars, one of which was referred to as Beta Magellan, and the planet Bynaus, the homeworld of the Bynars. The system was located near Tarsas III. In the 22nd century, Doctor Phlox visited this star system and encountered the Bynars and saw the procedure of replacing the parietal lobe with a synaptic processor after their childbirth.
