Bartholomeus was born on the planet Dorcaya, as the son of an influential banker on Dorcaya's planetary civilization. When he was twelve years old, his family was exiled from Dorcaya as the result of a coup orchestrated by the Vizzizzet Dissident Group, and they found shelter on planet Rothwidge of the Rothai sector. Living on Rothwidge during the rest of his life, Bartholomeus strongly contributed to the world's progress, and was the co-founder of the Rothwidge Planetary Bank, as well as the leader member of the noble Pazzi family when his parents died as the result of a terrorist attack.
