A False Dragon is a man who claims to be the Dragon Reborn, most of whom are powerful male channelers. He usually gathers a following and an army around himself and attempts to fulfill all or part of the Prophecies of The Dragon. The Red Ajah of the Aes Sedai is charged with bringing them down. In the five years before Rand al'Thor proclaims himself the true Dragon Reborn, at least three False Dragons rise.
