A tar'elk (plural tar'elkor) or battle wing was a unit used by the Cardassian space forces. Tar'elkor were based around 30 - 60 starships and commanded by a senior gul. Tar'elkor were made up of several kes'elkor and dai'elkor and could be combined to form a shodar. The troops assigned to a tar'elk often came up with nicknames for their units.
