The Galactic Implosion Device (named Implosion Device as an in-game unit) is a CORE superweapon of incredible power derived from an ancient alien artifact. Its purpose was to cause a cataclysm that would collapse the entire galaxy, which would annihilate the ARM and allow the CORE to rebuild their empire.
