The National Postal Service (NPS), (also known as The Post, National Mail or the Postal Service), is a independent government agency responsible for the distribution and management of mail and post. The NPS was formed after the National Communications Agency was dissolved into its sub agencies under the Postal and Communications Reform Act 1945. This gave the agency far more control over its actions.
