The 1973 Old Dominion 500 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on September 30, 1973. Richard Petty led 108 of the 480 laps and held a one-lap lead on Cale Yarborough. It was Petty's sixth and final win of the year. Meanwhile, eventual season champ Benny Parsons finished 6th. Stats
