Pencilhead, the Trope-Raiser, is a character portrayed by Malcolm Ray who first appeared in the review of Maximum Overdrive when the Nostalgia Critic summoned him after dipping a pumpkin hot dog in pumpkin whipped cream. He wears black leather from head to foot, and has pencils coming out of his head instead of pins. Pencilhead forces those he confronts to learn about tropes, such as those pertaining to Stephen King. He is a parody of Pinhead, the demon from the Hellraiser films.
