North Middlesex had a population of 6,700 in 2011 over an area of 598 km². Predominantly rural, the largest communities are Parkhill and Ailsa Craig. Portions of the municipality receive fire protection from the Lucan Biddulph Fire Department and Arkona Fire Department.
