Hyōsube (ひょうすべ, Hyousube) is the former Captain of the 3rd Division having served nearly 200 years ago. Hyōsube was discharged from his position after openly speaking against the genocide of the Quincy, maintaining his beliefs even to this day. At some point after his honorable discharge, Hyōsube set out into the World of the Living where he opened up a small noodle shop that continues to stand to this day.
