Jauga is a fictional town in the Andes Mountains, Peru. Tintin and Captain Haddock attempt to follow Professor Calculus' kidnappers from Santa Clara to Jauga by train, but the coach coupling is broken and they are nearly killed. Tintin and the Captain are rescued by authorities, who take them to their destination. At Jauga, they meet an orange seller, Zorrino, who agrees to guide them to the Temple of the Sun, where Calculus is being held hostage by the Inca.
