The Second Battle of Vulcanis (sometimes referred to as the Second Vulcan Offensive) was a military engagement between the Federation Alliance and Dominion forces in the Vulcanis system in 2374. The Intrepid-class starship USS Blackthorne joined this battle shortly after patrolling the Styx Rift. The Akira-class starship USS Red Cloud rescued over 250 personnel in the aftermath of the battle.
