George Bagnall was a British Flight Lieutenant at the beginning of the Race's invasion, serving in a Lancaster bomber. He was totally surprised by the killercraft's speed as they put down a bomber without anyone even noticing the craft during a bombing mission over Germany. He spent time in the city of Pskov in the Soviet Union when his plane was destroyed while delivering information to them. He helped keep the peace between the Soviets and Germans who both laid claims to the city. He was able to return to Britain by the end of the conflict between the humans and the Lizards.
