In 2381, B'kar was an ensign and serving as gamma shift operations officer aboard the USS Voyager, part of the Project Full Circle fleet. Fellow operations officer Ensign Lasren directed his concerns about B'kar's tendency to leave the ops station in a configuration accommodating his three-fingered hands to Voyager's first officer Lt.
