The Novel takes place directly after the events of Uchuu Keiji Gavan while neglecting events from Sharivan and Shaider, such as Retsu Ichijouji and Mimi's marriage. Instead, Retsu is now a special police investigator and Mimi is a teacher on Bird Planet. Den Iga has since retired from being a Space Sheriff aka Sharivan in order to rebuild his home planet.
