Talabheim (originally Taalahim) is the capital city of the Grand Duchy of Talabecland. The city lies in the crater of a massive meteorite deep within the Great Forest and next to the river Talabec. The inhabitants claim it to be the crater of a comet and hence believe themselves to be closer to Sigmar (the twin tailed comet being Sigmar's symbol). The city has many nicknames, such as "City of the Comet" and the "Eye of the Forest." The city itself is protected by massive walls built around the rim of the crater, famously defended by massed artillery. The city is built inside the crater and to the banks of the Talabec river, where a ferry is available and is one of the few crossing points on the river.
