Robert Jefferson Tallantire (1905–84) was a Labour Party politician. Born in County Durham, he was the son of a coal miner. By the late 1940s he was living in north east London. Member of the London County Council for Shoreditch and Finsbury 1949-52. Mayor of Shoreditch 1958-59, last Mayor of the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney 1964-65 and first Mayor of the London Borough of Hackney 1965-66.
