Priyat was a small town in Bajor's Kendra Province, approximately an hour and a half by groundcar from the provincial capital Kendra City. The town's buildings were mostly made of wood and mud-brick. Kanril Eleya was born and raised in Priyat, but left in 2397 to enlist in the Bajoran Militia. She believed the town was dying, noting that "half the population just lives here because it's close to Kendra City." (Bait and Switch: "From Bajor to the Black, Part I")
