Megabus is a long distance coach operator operated by the Stagecoach. It commenced operating in August 2003, initially in the United Kingdom, and by December 2012 served 60 destinations in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Some services link with Megatrain services, also operated by Stagecoach. Advertised fares start at £1/€1 with a 50p/50c booking fee, using a yield management model.
