Zan-Khan was the patron god of the lost city of Chanri-Ha. The city's residents believed both Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan to be incarnations of the deity and combined the two conquerors' names who would influence their architecture. For a short while in 1938, they mistook the appearance of Indiana Jones' young companion Khamal for Zan-Khan's triumphant return.
