Verminfate was the name of the sword belonging to Rawnblade Widestripe, ruler of Salamandastron. Verminfate was a gigantic broadsword with an unmarked blade. It usually rested close at hand on Rawnblade's bed. This formidable two-handed weapon could slash a great number of enemies in one stroke and split a thick metallic shield or large wooden door in two.
