Guardrail IX is an American black-ops communications device with multiple functions. In 2013, it was seized by Nicaraguan rebels after an RC-12 spyplane was shot down. It was sold to Carlos Ontiveros, although it was almost recovered by Captain Scott Mitchell and his Ghost Recon team, although Ontiveros escaped with it.
