Hide GUI is an option which hides the Graphical User Interface, which includes the inventory, the chat screen, the health and armor bars, and other interactive elements not part of the game. Toggling the option to 'On' does not completely remove the GUI. It is still present, but is invisible. The GUI can still be interacted with if used correctly.
