Paizo Publishing began as a publishing arm of Wizards of the Coast, publishing the Dragon and Dungeon magazines to supplement the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game. Paizo produced the two magazines from 2002 until 2007, when Wizards of the Coast did not renew the license for those materials. In 2008, Paizo released its own roleplaying game, Pathfinder, and continues to produce that game and others on its online storefront.
