Brooke decided she wanted to be an actress at the age of seven and made her television debut in 2002 in The League of Gentlemen. She attended Fairfield High School for Girls and studied drama at college. Brooke has also been in dramas aired on BBC Radio 4. Brooke is the cousin of co-star Ellie Leach. She took a break for three months from Coronation Street to appear in the stage play Be My Baby.
