They are only seen in the hospital levels, likely due to hazardous areas that needed armed men to enter. They carry oxygen tanks that blow up when shot at. The tank inflicts area damage, which means anything near it will be damaged when it explodes, while the unfortunate Hazmat himself will be torn to pieces by the blast. Even heavier enemies will flinch if affected by the blast.
