The Jeradians were an ethnic subgroup of the Bajoran species in the distant past. They became a nation-state, and held the Jerad Province. Following the defeat of the Lerrit at the hands of the Perikia, the Lerrit hired Jeradian shipbuilders to rebuild the Lerrit Navy. (DS9 short story: "Horn and Ivory")
