The CRFU (Candadian Rugby Football Union) was formed on February 7. The CRFU became the governing body of football in Canada and developed the Code of Rules taken from the ORFU and the English Rugby Football Union. With both the QRFU and the ORFU playing under the same set of rules and format, the first Dominion Championship was played.
