The Battle of Torello was the final engagement of the French Civil War, fought in the southern Pyrenees from April 30-May 4, 1944 between the European Alliance and the remaining Edmondian Loyalists camped out in the city. The battle wound up being an overwhelming and decisive victory for the Alliance forces, who captured Loyalist leader and deposed State Minister Francois Baptiste on May 3 and executed him the next day along with 24 other high-ranking Loyalist prisoners. The battle, along with the surrender on May 4 and 5 of almost 15,000 Loyalist soldiers, marked the end of the bloody French Civil War.
