Unfortunately, Kintopolis is plagued by frequent attacks from the giant chaos-radiation-mutated Mobians of Knothole Island that usually leave the city in ruins. That changed with the arrival of Sonic the Hedgehog, who used Doctor J. Kintobor's Giant Robotno to recover a Chaos Emerald shard in order to power more defense robots to protect the city and its people. (SSS: #12)
