A Solar Siphon is a device appearing in the 1987 TMNT cartoon adaption Take Me to Your Leader. Placed atop the Mile High Tower skyscraper, the device is used by Krang and Shredder to drain energy from the Sun as well as shrinking the star, exposing the Earth to cold and snowy weather. At the end of the episode Donatello reserves the flow, restoring the Sun.
