Daisy has been kidnapped by Tatanga of Sarasaland; it is up to Mario to rescue her. This first game is one of the best-selling games of all time, currently having sold 18.14 million copies, and spans four worlds, each with three levels. It has many notable differences to games in the Super Mario Bros. series, such as the bosses, location and many of the enemies. Power-ups are limited to the Super Mushroom and Fire Flower, the only other being coins and 1-ups.
