"Eggs" Benedict Talley is the former fiancé of Tara Thornton, and in the series, it states that he is native of Bon Temps, Louisiana. He is a survivor of the maenad who visits Bon Temps in in the book Living Dead in Dallas, but is mentioned to have died later in the book Dead as a Doornail, in a fire, due to his heavy drinking habit. __TOC__
