"A Murder in Oz" is a short story written by Jack Snow, and published after his death by The International Wizard of Oz Club in The Baum Bugle in October 1958, and again in The Best of the Baum Bugle for 1957–61. It was later reprinted in Spectral Snow, a collection of Snow's horror fiction. The story was originally intended for Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, but was rejected. In the story, the Wizard of Oz has to function as a detective to investigate the apparent murder of Princess Ozma.
