Don was the DJ at the wedding reception of Les Battersby to Cilla Brown that took place at the British Legion hall on Hallowe’en night, 2005. Unfortunately this date caused a mix-up ending up with the DJ turning up in full vampire costume and playing songs such as "The Monster Mash". To avoid having to pay Les compensation for an assault on him, Status Quo had agreed to play a short set at the wedding and the DJ mistook them for a tribute band, suggesting that he introduce them as something along the lines of “Status Anxiety” or “Quo-simodo” to avoid copyright problems.
