Though it may seem incredibly useful, especially for those without the divination levels to make porters, its practicality is rather weak because it is only able to port 3 harvested items per chocolate, while on the other hand the chocolate does stack. The chocolate is best used in combination with porters to save inventory space and keep training for a short while longer.
